Daily Mirror,
I was
recently visiting my good friend, President Roosevelt. We have discussed
battles that could perhaps change the course of the war, and have come to the
conclusion that the final triumph will only come after battles as costly as the
Battle of Gettysburg in the American Civil War. But at this point in time
during the war, our allies, the Soviet Army, are still carrying the main burden
of the war on land. We hope that this will not go on for too much longer. We
have a plan of a cross-Channel attack in one year’s time. We will prevail and
the new world that awakens after this horrific war shall be filled with peace.
