Responce to Helen DeLattre

The pleasure is mine. I am posted right now in Normandy, France as a medic in the 115th Infantry, 29th Division. I was born on May 9,1924 in Bowman, North Dakota. I am the youngest of seven. I moved to Lead, South Dakota in 1927 when I was three. I recently graduated Lead High School in May. I was in Student Council, Basketball, the Nugget, Senior Glee Club, Operetta Club, L Club, I was the captain of the Track team as a freshman. I LOVE to run as well as my brother Douglas. I also broke the state record for the half mile (Douglas broke the record last year). I also would like to say that my full name is Carroll Browning Kane and I have also just turned 20. I think it would be amassing to meet you and your grandson! When the war is over hopefully you can come to the USA and we can meet in person. Well, that's all there is to know of me, hope to seeing you after the war is over,
