Response to editorial #8

Dear Daily Mirror,
It was my own mistake to think that the European Theater should be given top priorities. I realize now that the Japanese expansion in the Pacific must be contained. I believe President Roosevelt agrees with me or he would not be making his move to reclaim the countless islands inhabited by Japan. Only months ago, much more of British land was taken, as well as American land. President Roosevelt believes that to regain the land is to island hop. My colleague knows what could help the war and I trust his opinions completely. There is a long road ahead for the Allies, but an even longer road for our enemy. Ours may be filled with suffering and death, but we will come out of this war victoriously.
– Winston Churchill
