Response to editorial 4
When Adolf Hitler was attempting to invade our country I was frightened! I was at home with my family when I got a blood curling message from my army, I told my wife and children that I promises that I would be back not knowing what would happen next. I said I love you and told my wife to keep the children safe and walked out the door. As soon as I got to my military headquarters I was told by the Genral or commander of the squadron what was going on and that Hittler was beginning an attack on Great Britian so the rest of the pilots and me got in our planes and waited for the signal to take off. The moment we were told to go I started my engine and when speeding down the runway with te rest of my team. When we got in the skies I saw a lot of planes we were out numbered 5-1 and even though we had an extreme amount of radar inteligence I knew at that moment that I was going to have to fight for my life and pray that me and my family got out of the battle in one piece. After many days of intense fighting Hittler had taken 16,343 lives from our country leaving 450,467 plus homeless. Our countries people were angrier than ever and we were not going to stop at anything no matter what would happen in the next couple of days. After eight years and two weeks Hittler realized that he was no match for the RAF and surrendered to our country. As soon as the news was released to the public the whole country moarned on what was once were beautiful cities but now the burnt remains of what was left for those who's lives were still in peril struggling to survive also for those who had died fighting for our country next to me. I and most others in Britain and France felt an immense amount of contempt toward Germany. But even though we were sad the countries people were also ecstatic to know that we were not just another part of Germany's cities which seemed to always be growing larger. We were also very cornecered we felt that we were in a very dark era that had fallen all among the human race we were left without any real allies bewildered by what had just happened I was scared for the safety of the people of Great Britain. So we got together with France and came to an agreement not to declare war on Germany just yet so that we had time to regain solders and start to building our Navy,Army, and Air Force so we could not only make Germany wish they hadn't messed with us but regretted trying to take over France and us and make them pay for all the blood that was shed during the war of Great Britain, and we would be certain that Germany would pay for this!
