Hello there Enemies . . . how's tricks? This is Ann of Radio Tokyo, and we're just going to begin our regular programme of music..news and the zero hour for our Friends . . . I mean, our enemies! . . . I'm hearing today that the Franklin D. Roosevelt is acting too slow... Well great! Like Harry James says, FDR is lookin like a "Sleepy Lagoon".  Look out you fighting orphans in the Pacific.. you won't be here for much longer with this knucklehead. This guy aint doin nothin with your country! Or is he? Never know what those Yanks could be planning. I doubt they will sit and wait too long for U-boats to come visit them on their left coast. Good luck to you boneheads out in the Pacific.. You'll be needing it... This is Ann of Raidio Toykyo signing off until tomorrow!

Response to Editorial #6

HA!! FDR is an awful president! America desrves a great president like me! I will help...some, but any one could be a better option then him. A baby could do a better job! Franklin Delano Roosevelt does nothing, when I marched into Manchuria, all he pretty much said was "Oh stop! You promise you won't do that anymore?" "I promise." "Ok. No more for you!" Yeah, that really did a lot. What just happened? Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I attacked all of the United States naval bases!! "December 7, a day which will live in infamy..." Hmmm...really? When is FDR ever going to do something? I will tell you...never! America, this is the only advice I will ever give you. You need to find a new president...AND FAST!!!

"Mine, Mine, Mine" is what Russia will be soon. Operation Barbarossa is well underway, and so far is a huge success. These sub-humans had no idea what hit them, and have no chance of defeating us. I plan to take Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad, and weaken Russia to the point where they will have to give up. I just couldn't take these stupid soviets anymore. They were ignorant pigs just like the jews. After i take over Russia, the U.S. will be right under my foot, where i will keep them there, until they can't breath anymore. Then Lebenstraum won't be an idea anymore, it will be reality. Stay strong Deutschland. Until next time...Heil Hitler Deutschland, Sieg Heil.

Response to Newsblast #2

I give my congrats to Japan for completing this very successful attack. Japan achieved the element of surprise and shook the U.S. Japan has proven themselves to be one of our most loyal allies. They knew america was going to be one of our toughest nations we have to fight, but Japan made them a little weaker, by crippling their naval supplies. Pearl Harbor was the biggest naval base, but the little ones help out a lot too. Now that Japan and America our at  war it is my duty to declare war on America as well. With the help of Italy and Japan, we will destroy America. Some of you may ask my plans for Russia are, but that will come at a later time. We are winning the batte for Russia, and i assure you once we have Russia, the U.S. will be a "piece of cake". Until next time...Heil Hitler Deutschland...Sieg Heil.

Response to Editorial #6

I don't understand why many Americans and Winston Churchill still like Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Sure he got them out of their economic depression. But getting out of debt will not help them retaliate against Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.  He did nothing to get into war to help their ally Great Britain. At least we, Germany, have Italy's and Japan's back. If America touches Japan we will have their back. I can understand America's frustration with Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Just like The Daily Mirror said , "He was to slow to act when Japan was attacking Nanking." He also didn't even think that Japan would attack him. I wonder if Japan or even our Chancellor, Adolf Hitler, decides to attack America while they stay neutral. We want America in the war and attacking them is the only way. All I am saying is Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his American people better come out of neutrality or things may only get worse for America.

Hahaha. FDR, how do you feel? It finally comes out that you are not some awesome leader. What some think I’m demented? He is. What I do is examine humans to get more details and intelligence while FDR is sitting around all day, literally, waiting for something to make him active. And the detention camps? Citizens that are proud of America, have been there for centuries possibly, and most of all they are legal. Psh! Oh how wonderful FDR is! He will save us all! Waiting up in his room thinking of his wonderful new deal plans! Don't get me wrong FDR, I think you are the best president of the United States ever. Most of all because while you are inactive we get more and more land. I think it would be better if you let your "eyes and ears" take your job. Heck! She already does enough of your speeches for you. Good luck America.

Sincerely the smartest and most faithful scientist,

-Josef Mengele

Response to Johnny Greenwood

I am here to stand up for Hitler. He is no menace, he simply wants power. But then again who doesn't. I'm sure that if you had a chance to get full power, you would take it. The human body is, if you will, programmed towards greed. We all want the best car, the biggest house, the most power. That's just the way our minds work. That is exactly what Hitler is trying to do, he got the chance to take over the world and took it. Stop nagging on Hitler and prepared to be taken over.

ALbert,
you are a very bright man I think that you should really come to your seces that i am not relaxing and that ia m working very hard. I would also like for you to know that the reason that we are not helping Germany is because America does not want to go to war and the war costs millions and that is not what America needs( another finacial burdan).  dear daily mirror
i would first of all start off by saying thank you for giving me such truthful feedback and that i very much dissagree with you. i definitaley think that i am a hero. I understand that some people are mad thet we aren't helping Germany but i am listening to our nation and the majority of people dont want to go to war. i am also not going to war because of how big of a deprssion we are in and that war costs a lot and we dont need that finacial burdan.
sincerly,
Franklin Roosevelt

Response to Eva Braun

I do agree and I side with your love, Hitler, but you do not need to get cheesy and suck up to him. You really need to stay out of his way while he is at rule. With you there always bugging him, it's becoming a huge distraction. Why don't you go marry that Tim guy and leave Hitler alone. No one needs distractions like you when they are trying to conquer the world. I'll try to put this in the nicest way possible, get out of his life.

Response to Editorial #6

I cannot say that I either hate or like FDR. His policies have been both good and bad in my opinion. His bad ideas such as angering those at war have irritated me greatly however. An example of this was his decision to cut assets to Japan. As we all know this ended up in a devastating attack on Pearl Harbor. It's only common sense to know that when you upset an enemy, nothing is going to go well for you...especially in the timeline of a war. Japan relied on those supplies for war. Now I'm not saying that Japan deserves supplies from America, but it was a poor decision to anger Japan. If this policy was to of worked, it would of been smart to declare war as well.
One of his ideas that pleased me was his decision to invite Churchill to be a strong friend of America. Their Atlantic Charter plan was genius and was a big bonus to befriending Churchill.
All in all I'm not sure if i completely agree with FDR, but he has done good for us.

Hitler and the Soviet Union

I cannot fully say that I'm relieved more German troops are advancing into the Soviet Union. While it may help us attack Nazi occupied territories,I fear that if Hitler takes over the Soviet Union we may not have a chance to win this war.
There is no argument that Hitler's power across the east is unimaginable. If Hitler takes over Russia, their military and occupation of land would increase far to much to create easier advancements for the Allies. If Hitler wins his battle with Stalin, this war is is going to get a lot harder.

Response to editorial #6

Man, this editorial really affects me and all American people. I mean, a lot of the US citizens want to think of FDR as a Hero but what The Daily Mirror says really makes you think it through and makes you believe, maybe FDR isn't as much of a hero as we thought. You know, what the Daily Mirror says about what FDR has done is true. I believe that he could have acted faster in joining the war, people needed help and we weren't there to catch them when they fell. What happened to being the big dogs who help other countries when they need help? I also would like to say that FDR shouldn't have put Japs into detention camps even after Pear Harbor. They still are American citizens but they aren't being treated like it. But, I would like to say that FDR has done a lot of good things as well to help the US citizens. I guess what I'm trying to say it that I'm on the fence about our president. I'm just stating my opinion and I'm not trying to offend anyone. Still praying for all the nations under the Nazi' rule and all the citizens fighting to keep him out, I, Kel Browning Kane, sign out.
Joining you all soon,

i agree with whatever Hitler decides to do. he is a good leader and knows what he is doing. and the daily mirror is right, the sovietes will fail! With HItler in charge the battle will be done very soon. Germanys military is fantastic and unbeatable.  Who knows, Germany might rule the world someday all because of the great things Hitler is doing. With the soviets out of the way the options are endless.  the only thing that worries me is the poor lives that are lost during the war. i cant seem to get my mind off of the topic.  i geuss i will have to live with it because i will Marry the most amazing man in the world, Hitler..... uh .. i mean... tim? ??? uh ya tim thats who i want to marry.... i geuss

Kel here and all I would like to say is that I saw it coming. It is just so mush like Hitler to back stab Russia. I don't like Communism but I do admit, I hope Russia puts up a good fight and doesn't get taken over by the Nazi. I don't like how Stalin says that whoever greeted the Nazi with flowers will be killed, it's just not right. I don't like how Stalin rules and I can't blame the people under rule of Stalin would greet the Nazi who are "liberating" them. The thing that scares me is that the US might be next. Well, I sure do hope that Russia puts up a good fight. I've heard that they may be fighting in the winter and I wish you all luck. I still pray every day that Adolf Hitler will be stopped and will continue to pray and count down the years and days 'till I may join you and help out. Three more years 'till I'm out of High school and hopefully I can help if the war isn't over by the time I graduate.
Signing out,
Kel

FDR is the biggest villain I know. He helped America get out of a depression but how could you put us Japs in internment camps. You also froze everything we needed as country to survive. Who cares is we want parts of China. We could have cut you off when you invaded the Indians in western America but we didn't so you should have mercy on us. FDR also packed the court to "help" America. Follow the rules FDR. You should be punished by death because of what you did to us and your japanese-american citizens who are crazy to go to a place ran by FDR.

Response to editorial 5

Operation Barbrossa is a huge success because Germany is a way better power than russia. Stalin is a fool he is a communist loser who doesn't know how a government should be run. On the other hand Germany is the biggest and best power in the world.  The russians will soon learn to give up and heil hitler and japan the two most powerful nations we as a world have. Barbrossa is a success for the axis.

FDR a good leader?

                     FDR, Good or Bad
A lot of people say he is not a good president, or America desesrves better. Maybe they are right or wrong, but he is not perfect. He stayed neutral causeing countries to collapse under Hitler, but he was under a depression. On the other hand war would help the ecomic problem and things could get better for the U.S. Americas power could have helped Britian and France instead of just sending convoys that failed until later on. I doubt he could have stepped in very early, but war at the time was needed as I said before hand. Now we pay the price for his actions. He had other  things to worry about, lots of acts and things and that is fine but what about us.

                     Hitler looks elsewere
It seems Hitler changed plans and looked to take out his ally, the Russians. As we have all known he disowns comminists, and still allied with them. Though I do not support Stalin, or comminsim he still is a country against Hitler. I am not saying I support him, but it would be bad to have Russia taken due to the resources it has, and the armies too. Even worse the people of Russia have enjoyed the Germans coming in, and they think the Germans are their liberators. Stalin on the other hand is dealing with collapsing armies, and many think he will not hold. If Hitler takes Russia he will gain much power, on the other hand I do not care for comminism.

Dear Daily Mirror,
I disagree greatly with you. Franklin is one of my dear friends. He is willing to go to the length of keeping his country safe of this horrendous war. He has also helped my country and me. In the times I have met with him, he has shown exceptional intelligence and stupendous courage. Yes, he may have made mistakes, but haven’t we all? His country was going through hard times and adding a war to it wouldn’t help. We must applaud him for what he has done so far to save America from any deeper economic depression. He is a hero, no doubt. Thank you,
 –Winston Churchill

Response to editorial #6

My political views on FDR the current leader of America is that he is a willful leader and that he only wants to do what I best for his country.  Which I appreciate because he was very nice to our country after the attack of britian he gave us supplies and aid which we were desperately in need of.  Also he is couscous instead of being completely oblivious like some of the other leaders at this point. So I think that he is a hero even though he haven't always made the right decisions in the past because he only speaks with a sense of wiseness; he is a great leader to be under when in horrid battles from. I can only hope that if the people on the radios are right that a war is destine to come that Britain will allie with America.  "It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something," Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Dear Daily Mirror,

I think FDR will be a wonderful president. He will keep our country safe, as well as defend it. Right now in the war he is staying neutral, because he wants to stay out of the war as long as he can. And yes maybe he is just watching countries fall to the Nazi war Machines, but right now all he is worried about is keeping our country safe. And that’s what he should be worried about as the president of our country. He shall help his country first and then others. I think FDR will be a great president for the United States!

Dear Daily Mirror,

My deepest prayers go out to all those who lost a loved one in the attack by the Japanese. This was an unthinkable attack, but it hopefully it will not happen again. And now we will go to war against the Japanese, and we shall defeat them!! Our U.S. troops will do their best to win this world war on the Pacific Ocean. We will only be able to tell how well they are doing with time. Our prayers are with all of you soldiers that are going to fight for our country.

Two words that have taken over the world by storm. Sieg heil. How such a simple but wonderful phrase can be so effective. We deserve to be greeted with parades for we are the dominant race. Commies, be warned if you disobey Hitler he will shoot you on sight or send you to me. If I were you I would hope he shoots you on sight. Just the sheer thought of commies coming to me for "tests". As we take communism we will then move on to democracy and eventually everyone will be saying sieg heil. My two fantasies seem to be coming to live; 1: Get more lebenstraum and 2: See what everyone in the world is made up of. Just the thought of dissection makes me laugh. I should be seeing Anne Frank and other jews pretty soon because it looks like they skipped their annual appointments. Best of luck my young, naive Anne, haha.

Response to Eva Braun

Dear Eva,

You should stop seeing from a one sided perspective. Once in a while look through the eyes of the American's. Pensez aux choses que je m'apprête à dire! What different is America doing compared to Germany?    You say FDR doesn't care about his people, does Hitler, because he is showing his love by putting them in concentration camps.   You say he made the wrong decision to join to join the war. Didn't you START this war?   You say FDR took Japan's oil supply, tout d'abord, it wasn't Japan's oil supply, America was getting crops and food from them and they gave them their oil. Japan attacked Pearl Harbour unlawfully, and that gave America full rights to shut off the transports.     You say Hitler is nuch better leader, FDR is letting the people of America choose there religion freely, religions such as Jewish, Cathoilc, Orthodox, Buddhist, Muslamic. Hitler is making the German people follow one religion and one religion alone, the Nazi Party. Think of that, Mrs. Braun.     You say that Hitler is a passionate and strong speaker and FIRES up the people of Germany, I bet America's thinking, Hitler sure does get them fired up......after they kill them and then use giant fire pits!       You say that Hitler's getting Germany out of economic depression, France is getting news that America was in economic depression for like 10 years and FDR got America out of it. Germany started it's economic depression in 1918 and it is 1941 and Germany is still not out of it.      You say that to have a good America, FDR has to be as clever as Hitler is, well Hitler is so clever that he actually started a WORLD WAR. Such brilliance.      You say America needs a new president, well Germany needs a new leader and not a new dictator. Réfléchissez à ce que j'ai dit, penser à eux. Est-FDR vraiment très différent que Hitler. Vive la Résistance. Vive la France.

I agree with The Daily Mirror. To me FDR really has not done much. What happened at Pearl Harbor was extravagant. There were so many deaths and we really could have used some help. I do believe that we need someone in the office right now that will take care of our problems and who will not be afraid of war if it is our only option. I do not believe that he knows what he is doing is wrong, I actually think that he has a great intention of keeping us out of war. We definitely needed to help the British and need to help the allies win and take Hitler down!

response to editorial #6 Eva Braun

I absolutely agree with the author! FDR is an awful president, it seems like he doesn't even care about his people!  he made the wrong choice to join the war and he took away japans oil supply. In my opinion Hitler is a much better leader.  he is strong and gets everyone fired up! he is a great speaker and i helping us get out of an economic depression. if only FDR was as handsome,.... uh.... i mean , as clever and passionate as Hitler, then America would be a very honorable country.  But, without those qualities America WILL crumble.  They will fall on their face. My opinion? America needs a new president, one who can take charge!

Response to Editorial #6

I thought FDR was a good leader just like I thought Hitler was a good leader at first. FDR is taking America out of a depression just like Hitler was for Germany. And there isn't anything wrong with not wanting to go to war and stay neutral. Maybe they just didn't want to join into another world war. Isn't that why people are mad at Hitler: he started a war? FDR didn't go to war because his people didn't want him to, therefore I respect him. But when he started putting Japanese citizens in detention camps, I lost all respect for him. Isn't that what Hitler is doing to us? People will argue FDR is doing it to protect his country, but it is still the same. Those people he is putting into detention camps are Americans, LEGAL AMERICANS. They went through a long process to become Americans, now don't take their freedom away.

Response to Editioral # 6

FDR is a definite villian in my prospective.  Because countries are getting taken over and their people are getting killed.  While FDR is relaxing in the US other countries are getting dominated.  FDR needs to help out other countries instead of relaxing.  He knows thats countries are getting defeated by the Nazies.  I wish best of luck to FDR for making the right decision.

Editorial #5

I think that Josheph Stalin should have seen that Adolf Hittler is a Menace and will stop at nothing not even at the face of one of the stronger nations; Russia.  I also think that Stalin should have never made that agreement with Germany because in a way we all knew what was going to happen and now that the treaty has been broke Russia is going up against a immense greed stricken country that is under the power of a person who appears to be angered in his losses and it is only getting worse. In the cases that Germany wins this puts all other countries in grave danger because Hittler now will have power over the two larger militias. I wish for the best of luck to Russia and that Stalin can hold his ground.

I know I will remember this day because it was close to my birthday. Although the presents weren’t there because of our money situation, the love was. I had a few friends over and we listened to the radio because Jews aren’t allowed to be in movie theaters. I’m now officially thirteen. Hopefully people will stop thinking they know more than me now. I told you Hitler could not be trusted. He puts people under his wing saying, “I will protect you” and when you least expect it, he stabs you in the back. If I am part of the Axis Powers right now, I would be worried. This is another step in Hitler’s scheme of lebensraum for Germany. He will take land from anyone regardless of treaty. How long do you think it will be until he backstabs you Joseph Mengele? How well are you sleeping at night? Any ways, good luck Russia.

Response to Editorial #6

For one of the first times so far i agree with the daily mirror. I fully believe that FDR is definitly a villian because as the years have gone by he has watched country after country get captured by the nazis and watched millions of live get taken while he is waving the neutriality flag!!!! And it finally took an attack on his home soil for him to declare war and get angry. And on top of all this he is putting all of the people that look Japenese into camps because the could be a threat to thier country!!!!       -Vasily Zaytsev

Response tp editorial #6

I think FDR is a great person. He has helped us out of the Great Depression. FDR is staying neutral so we don’t have lose more lives than we already have. He is trying his hardest to support with the Lend Lease Act, and with Russia joining Britain Germany is already in deep trouble, and their war machine is slowing down, so why would we lose more men than we already have. In other ways yes he should have reacted faster to Nanking. The idea of pitting Japanese citizens in camps was a smart idea because they could be spies for Tojo and Pearl Harbor could happen again somewhere else Packing the court is also wrong but yet again it helped out of this terrible economic depression in America. Sure he could have somehow convinced the court to let it through, but it was not working so he had to put more people in the court or else we would still be in this depression. That is my opinion of FDR

Editorial #6 - FDR - Hero or Villain?

Today we discuss the American President - Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Once in a while, a leader comes along that changes their country - revolutionizes their people.  In the opinion of the Daily Mirror, FDR is not this person.  He was to slow to act when Japan was attacking Nanking.  He waffled back and forth and waived his neutrality flag while country after country fell to the Nazi war machine.  Britain's own people were living underground during the Battle of Britain while German airplanes relentlessly bombed the men, women, and children - and what does FDR do?  With his mouth, he rages on about the free world and the threats of fascism while with his hand, he signs the Lend-Lease Act.  Indecision WAS his decision.  He has placed his own Japanese citizens in internment/detention camps.  He has taken too much power within his own government and has used it for his own gain - and he has the nerve to preach about the will of democracy?   Packing the court to pass your laws?  No thanks!

The Daily Mirror fully supports America.  They are our trusted ally.  However, the Daily Mirror believes that the American people deserve better.

Readers - I'm anxiously awaiting your responses.

Response to Eleanor Roosevelt

Thank you for the advise to hide, but where? We have no where to go... We can't find away out of the country. And please do not call me young, I'm tired of people thinking they are better than me or know more than me because they are older.

Response to Editorial #5

What is Hitler thinking? That is one less country that will help us Axis to take over all of Europe! It is going to be hard for him to take over Stalin because Russia is so big and it will take me a while to get armed forces over to Germany and Russia. Besides I can't help Hitler anyway because of Pearl Harbor. America is going to declare war on us! Why doesn't Hitler understand that turning on our alliance is just ruining everything!!! We don't want Stalin to join the Allies! They will just get stronger! Hitler needs to stop this nonsense and get back to the big picture...MY Sphere of Influence and HIS Lebensraum. Attacking Russia is getting us no where!124 If Hitler wants to succeed faster then he must think more clearly! make up your mind! What does Germany need? You need to offer that Hitler!

response to editorial #5

Wow. That is definitely a shock. What does Hitler think he is doing? Stalin is way to strong and he now has us to help. Hitler is being very foolish. He will be the one crushed. Whatever is on his mind, I want to say one thing, THE WORST OF LUCK TO YOU HITLER! Just make sure that this is to end soon. We have already had enough casualties for the year with Pearl Harbor and now this. This war has been going to long. End it soon. Oh, and I agree, hope to see communism gone. It only does more harm than good!

response to Hideki Tojo

Dear Hideki Tojo,
I do not understand what the point of your attach on Pearl Harbor was for. Do you understand how many people were killed because of you foolish actions? The hospital was full from the beginning and you just kept sending in more. With all our efforts we all lost someone we knew and could not save many. If a second world war is what you want, then that is what you shall get. And no, we will not give up. For the sake of our all our lost men, we will win.

Response to Editorial #5

Ohhhh Hitler, hasnt he gone too far?  Attacking two battles at once.  He might get away with this but this is not over yet.  His army is very big and very strong but he will be brought down some day.  if you are trying to win both battles at once then you are crazy.  Ordering two battles at once is almost impossible.  The soviets should be smart and attack Hitler while he is weak with fighting two battles.  Sooner or later Hitler will notice that he went too far.  Good luck soviets and i hope you make a good decision on what to do.

response to editorial #5

Hitler's choice to invade Russia is a great plan in my opinion because we can get rid of Russia's evil communism. Hopefully Russia will fight with Britain, so this also means that Hitler now has a war on two sides from Britain on the west and Russia on the east. Hitler will lose many other men from operation Barbarossa. I don't like this idea also because if he takes over Russia he will have more dominance over Europe. Also Stalin has no chance of beating Hitler and his army, because Germany has a great plan for beating Russia. If he does somehow have a chance of beating Hitler; Germany will be defeated and then the Allies will invade Italy and win the war. If Russia beats the Axis Communism will still be around and still bring fear to the entire world. Over all I’m mostly glad that Hitler is attacking Russia so now the Axis has greater chance of losing the war.

Response to Eleanor Roosevelt

Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt:
It is true that actions speak louder than words. The reason why my people want Adolf Hitler so much more than me; he has acted more than I have.  He has killed so many more people than I have.  You call me a killer and a person my own people hate.  My people hate me because they want me to act and to destroy more of the people that stand in my way.  So do not call me a hypocrite you ill-advised woman.  Think before you speak, for words can harm you as much as actions.  Keep that in mind Eleanor Roosevelt... keep that in mind.

For the People!
Josef Stalin!

Response to Editorial #5

How couldn't Stalin see us coming? We had no shot at Great Britain and we needed to move on. I couldn't be any happier with Hitler's decision to invade Russia. I never trusted Stalin and wouldn't of been surprised if he attacked us any day in the future. For once I agree with you Daily Mirror. We will destroy the Soviets. They stand no chance. I can guarantee that we move into the heart of Soviet Russia. Just like my 7th Panzer Division did on our drive to the English Channel. We will destroy the Soviets in no time. I hope our Chancellor Adolf Hitler puts me in charge of the 7th Panzer Division. If he puts me in charge of it we will be there in no time. We will have to wait out and see the results of our invasion. Until then.

Joseph Stalin - To call the Daily Mirror Yellow Journalists and to say they spew lies - your hypocrisy has no limits.  You call yourself a leader when your very citizens rejoice at the sight of Hitler's Wehrmacht troops?  What does that say about your leadership?  I think it's quite telling.  People's actions speak louder than their words.

Tokyo Rose - Your familiarity with American slang and jargon makes me think you're not Japanese at all.  Yet, it's clear you had a hand in the cowardly attack on Pearl Harbor.  If we were to silence radio stations on the American West Coast, would your voice go silent?  I think your tongues and riddles may cease.

Anne Frank - My dear, you are young.  I would not be so careless with your life.  You have much to learn. My only advice at this point is to hide.  Hitler's intentions were made clear during the Kristallnacht and book-burning rallies.  Where they have burned books, they will burn human beings.  Hide, my dear child.  Hide.

Benito Mussolini - You speak of loyalty, but you are loyal to a mad man. Have you read Mein Kampf? Do you realize where this man is leading you?! Remember that the lemmings loyally follow their leader... right off of a cliff.

Helene Delattre - you live in the shadow of the enemy, and you are loyal to freedom and democracy. Do not worry; DeGaulle will return and sweep the Vichy away like pig vomit. Stay in the shadows and know we are coming for you. Take out your hidden radios and listen for our messages to the Free French who heroically battle the Nazis in their own backyard. We are coming for you. "It wounds my heart with a monotonous langour..."

Hitler will soon be fighting in Russia in the deep winter - Something even Napoleon couldn't do.  No army has ever beat that adversary.  The cold will prevail.

This is the First Lady of the United States, signing off for tonight.

Eleanor Roosevelt - Response to NewsBlast #2

Indeed, a day will live in infamy...

My deepest prayers and sympathies are sent to all of those souls lost in that cowardly and unwarranted attack.  Right now, the big questions seems to be:  How do we handle the amount of death and still maintain a sense of honor and reverence towards lives so gruesomely taken at the base?  Estimates of deaths in the USS Arizona alone approach 1,200 boys lost.  My husband is still in a state of shock as he tries to regroup.

We are currently in many meetings with General Eisenhower as to how we should proceed. Most of all, we are now in World War again...just like that.  We now have to face the task that Germany could not accomplish in 1914; we must fight a war on two fronts against militaries that are both tough and determined.  We have never fought the Japanese.

I will be spending a great deal of time with our boys as they fight the Japanese in the Pacific Ocean area.  Only time can tell how that front will unfold.  The atrocities committed by the cowardly Japanese tell a frightening future.  Our troops may be in for a terrifying surprise.

My prayers of courage go out to all of our boys in Bataan and the Philippines under General MacArthur.

General, if you're out there tonight, how are you and your boys faring in Bataan?  We would love an update.

Here are our recent photos of the aftermath we are dealing with:

Response to editorial #5

The invasion of Russia is no surprise to me. In fact, I gave Stalin warning of what was coming. I gave him warning as I have given others warning. Hitler is a monstrosity and bloodthirsty. I’m sorry to say that one of his main reasons of attack is to destroy the Russian power. I have dealt with him before; I have witnessed his power and will to go on. But I have also witnessed his short temper and impatience when a plan put into action fails. Now that Hitler has started his invasion, the Russian danger is therefore our danger and the United States’. Let us not relearn the things already taught about gruesome events past. And we shall strike while hope is still alive. Peace will prevail and the next world will go on living in harmony. – Winston Churchill
