Hello there Enemies . . . how's tricks? This is Ann of Radio

quite a while young fellows but it appears that Mustache man is not really
dead... darn... You got everyone excited for nothing! I mean he is right back
up trying once AGAIN to win this war. Is it working? Hmmm maybe he will be able
to pull this off with the Japs behind his back and the Italians doing
everything in their power to do something. Are you ready Yanks? Hitler better
be ready or he’ll become the laughing stock of Europe. Spike Jones and His
Wacky Wackateers already wrote a song about it called “Dumb Nutzies”, have a
listen sometime. Or has he created the master race? And are we all his subjects?

Agreement With Charles DaGuall
All:
I completely agree with my ally, counterpart, and friend, Charles DaGuall. This war will be over soon and I believe that it will be a painful end for the Axis. We are close to finishing our nuclear bombs and will crush the Axis powers under our heel. They will be gone as soon as they came. I agree with everything that DaGuall has said and don't believe that I could have said it better myself.

While I am sure that there are many good sides to nuclear warfare, I do not believe that we should be putting so much time, effort, and resources into nuclear warfare. That being said, I know that the Nazis are trying to develop the first nuclear warhead. Anything that our enemies do, we must do better. Not only are the Allies trying to make a better nuclear bomb, we're trying to make it faster than the Nazis. Even if the Nazis are able to make the first nuclear warhead, I do not believe that it will help them win this war. They are so far behind and they do not know what to do now that Hitler is basically saving himself. Not the best leader was he? So I do not think that the nuclear bomb will make or break this war, but we'll just have to keep fighting.

If we start using nuclear power we will no doubt takeover Japan. We have have already taken Iwo Jima, and Okinawa which led us to Japn its self. It is either die by troops or by bomb. I am sad to say that if japan does not surrender we will resort to using a nuclear bomb. The allies and I will be meeting about the bomb. It is a very dangerous wepon and i hope that we do not have to use it.

This island hopping plan is coming to an epic conclusion. Only one more island remains to be taken in order to defeat all of Japan's islands. The island Okinawa is the last will be the hardest. Why would we give up now when we have come so far? All of the troops spirits are up and i know that we can do it so we wont give up. If we take this island, Japan will own no Pacific bases outside of their own country. War will be over and no more worrying about Japan. We will have had a big defeat and all of our troops will have high spirits. I thank everyone for there support and most importantly thank all of the troops fighting for America.

I do not agree with the idea of nuclear warfare. I think that nuclear warfare should just be banned just like what we did with chemical warfare after World War 1. Also, because i think that once it gets started i think countries will realize that this is much easier than sending thousand of soldiers into war and it will get out of hand. -Vasily Zaytsev

Dear Daily Mirror,
If the
Americans will be using nuclear power against the Japanese, then I am compelled to
say that the Japanese already have their fate sealed. The United States were
triumphant over Iwo Jima and Okinawa only months earlier, which led them
straight to Japan itself. It is either back down or die for the Japanese,
whether it is death by bomb or death by troops, they will fall. However,
nuclear weapons could alter our nature, and cause the new world’s leaders to
become corrupt with power. This has become a very dangerous idea to toy with. I
will be meeting with the Allies’ leaders and we shall discuss this weapon as
well as the surrender of Japan.

It is not worth it America you've won way to many wars and for what? Just to go into a depression!! We are ready to fight until we can't fight anymore!!

this is great! let the Americans die, let them make dumb mistakes, let them waste thier soldiers! Germany might actually get the chance to win! maybe we can make a comeback. i know japan will. America must be getting tired of losing so many men therefore they might just give up! this is fabulous news !!! Japan is just waiting for the perfect time to surprise the american soldiers. My opinion? japan is going to kick thier butts! American soldiers dont know how to fight in these condidions but the japanese do! i have three words for you..... WATCH YOU'RE BACK!

YES YES AND YES!! I do beieve that we should be able to use this nuclear technology. I think that it will help all of the countries in our race for the finish of World War II. It would have been nice to know that this could've obliterated Pearl Harbor! Oh by the way... America did you like your presents in the Guadalcanal? I figured that for the people I killed in the Bataan Death March, it would be nice for you guys to see them one more time. Anyway back to the bombs. I dont think that people are really going to actually use these. They will only be used for intimidation. In my opinion it is still agood idea for all the countries to have them!

I agree 100% with the daily mirror. Nuclear bombs are terrible! they kill so many in a matter of seconds. they will injure and make life more complicated for those who were near when the bomb is dropped. It is a terrible idea; they should have never been invented. i blame Albert Einstein for all current issues with these new nuclear weapons. He is the cause of all the deaths that are related to nuclear bombs. Hitler deserves to win anyways so why even try? America is a terrible country for allowing such murderous weapons. My opinion? America should be punished severely. And especially that know it all scientist they’ve got over there. He should be the first one punished!

Dear Daily Mirror and Americans,
This is indisputably
the greatest American battle of this long and terrible war. I believe that it
will, however, be considered a famous battle in the years to come, when the
Allies have won. The soldiers have been doing a superb job, even if we are in a
stalemate. But this deadlock will not be for long. I suppose the wait will be
broken sometime, but I will never be too sure. Above all I want to thank the
American soldiers for joining us. They must be terrified with the Nazis at
their noses, and the terribly cold winter is not going to help. God bless you,
soldiers.

As an Italian soldier Realizing the terrible crimes committed by the Japs, Iwo-Jima was totally worth it. They may have completely destroyed the Japanese morale, which is a good thing! After what they have done, they deserve it. No human should be willing to do what they did and still did it.
Response to Charles De Guall
You may be saying that nukes aren't good now but just wait. They will be the weapons that put an end to this bloody war. They may be even more bloodier, but will help tremendously. We should've started this war with something like that. It would've been over much quicker. So don't be hating on nukes.
Your days are few
This is to the axis who hold on still though I think and know you are all doomed. Germany you collapsing and your armiess retreat I have never seen a worse land lose. Japan, you are hopeless you have no navy or air force and are gripping on to two tiny islands. Holding off will only bring doom, and the allies have taken most of your territory and are closing in. Your V-2 rockets and kamikaze wont cut it. To those being arrogant about how the axis can win are so mistaken, so why try to pull it together. I think this war will come to a end in a short time, maybe a year. You are all losing the war.

Bombing just might be the answer to end this war. We americans half to think of all the civillians we are going to kill. There might not be any other coince but to bomb the japs. I believe it is the right idea becuase of all the damage they might do to us. it is either us or them. We have one more country to take then we will be home free. We have a very tough decision to make and i know we will makethe correct decision.
Response to Editorial #13
Island Hopping is a great stradegy but we arent over with yet. We have one more island to take and always and ofcourse we save the best to last. The Japs are hiding any where they can and we need to be more alert. We may have lost lives but we saved more lives then just rushing the Japs and getting destroyed by them. We have been waiting for this final conclusion for a while now and we will not lose because of this. We will win. We will take over Japan.

To Anyone And Everyone Inerested
I would like to send out an apology to my mom, my dad, all my brothers and sisters, my platoon and most of all, Helen DeLattre. I'm so sorry I disappointed you, it wasn't my intention. I can only imagine how hard it is to read this because its equally as hard to write it....... I can't seem to stop crying, it's so painful....... At least I'll be coming home, right?..... On the day of June 29, 1944 I was awarded the Silver Star for "gallantry" in action. It wasn't very "gallant" at all that poor boys needed help and I just happened to be there. No one was gonna help him because they were under heavy artillery fire. It was worth it in the end I hope. That day I also went MIA, from what I heard. My greatest apologies to my platoon, good luck and I'm so sorry that I left you alone................ I died on July 31, 1944 and it is still a shock to me. I was originally buried in Europe but I'm coming home........ For some reason, I was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart. I'm so sorry that I am not coming home the way you wanted me to but at least I'm coming home. Finally, to Helen DeLattre, I am so sorry that I won't be able to meet you after the war is over, I was really looking forward to that. You can still come and meet my family though. They are a happy and crazy bunch but I bet you'll like them, I sure did. Meeting them would be just like meeting me although they would beg to differ. Ha ha, thy may even show you impressing baby pictures of me and all my bad picture day moments, it'll only be a little bit different than meeting me in person. I bet all Doug is worrying about is on who he is gonna compete for the state half mile. I just want to say not to worry about me, I am in a better place. I'll miss home and all the new friends I have made and wish the allies luck. Win for me guys!!!! I love you all so much and I will miss you so very much. One day, we will meet again and we will be together forever this time. Lots of love, signing out for the very last time,

This is amassing news! I am so happy that Private Ryan gets to go home! He's a good kid and I was so sorry to hear that his other 3 brothers are dead. :( I would be very sad if my older brothers would die. At least 1 of Mrs. Ryan's boys gets to come home but that's only 1 out of 4. We lost a few men rescuing him but he better earn it. Good Luck Ryan!

The nuclear bomb sounds horrible. Not only will it destroy where people live
but it will kill many of lives. The only
reason I approve of it is because it will end the war. Anybody going up against it should just
surrender. Trust me. It is a lot worse than you think. Like the Daily Mirror said: if Japan would
have used one of them the whole naval base would have been gone and part of Honolulu. If they would have used it, it would have
been: good bye Pearl Harbor. Think about
that.
Before you use it, think.
Is it really worth killing that many lives? Should you just keep fighting? Whatever will lose fewer lives is what you
should choose. If you choose not to use
the bomb, get rid of it right away. Or
even if you do use it, get rid of any other ones. This is a dangerous weapon and if it is found
in the wrong hands it could result in many, many deaths. Be smart.
Good Bye
Today was my last day. I died from typhus, a disease cause from lice, mice, and fleas. Some people think I just gave up, but I wouldn't say that. My body couldn't take it anymore, but don't worry, I'm in a better place now. Good bye and good luck to the Allies.

I never thought I would say this about anyone, but I’m upset
Hitler didn't die. Maybe if he would
have died I would be able to escape the certain death in the concentration camps. I have been sent off to Bergen- Belsen. I can only hope that soon the Americans will
be liberating the camp so I can be released.
I feel that I have been patient with the Allied powers, but they need to
start advancing and winning the war. If
they don’t start winning soon I will not make it. Margot is already sick, and it isn't long
till I will be, too. Right now it seems
like I am not going to make it, I’m not sure I want to either. I don’t even remember what my school looked
like, what my neighbors looked like, or how much fun I had with my friends. Is there even such a thing as fun anymore?
Nukes?
Technology has always been used in war, for example a once peaceful invention like the airplane turned into a killing machine. Now the ultimate secret to fear the ultimate weapon has been discovered. Do I like it? No, these bombs are not precise, at many miss intended targets will die. Also sinking down to the level of the axis is not a good idea. In a heartbeat thousands can die in a second. Sure it can end war, or create a new age of war. I know this being involved in the World war one the power technology has in war. As if mustard gas was not bad enough now a single plane can flatten cities. War is bad enough why make it worse.

I personally love to see this war. I love the progress the U.S soldiers are making. I don't know what it is but I hated American troops here in Europe. But, I love seeing them destroy Japan. I personally do not like Japan and their military tactics. They are not a stable country. So it is almost for the safety of people to get them out of the Pacific.
Which brings me to my next point. I believe that Iwo Jima is worth it. So what if it is practically an island of nothing! If you need to get Japan out of rule of the Pacific then you better get them out of every island they rule! The U.S needs to understand that they should to everything for their country and do what their are told. Even if they could die doing it.

Daily Mirror,
I don't fully support the use of nuclear warfare. Clearly these bombs are very dangerous and would probably kill many people who don't deserve to die. I did not feel like the Jews should have died. They were innocent. So this is the same. Innocent people shouldn't die and with nuclear warfare would kill many innocent people on accident.
But, if nuclear warfare becomes illegal then it still won't matter. Almost nobody follows the "rules"of war. If nuclear weapons got to a point where everyone had a nuclear bomb then this world will be blown to bits. One bomb is bad enough but to have so many countries with them, then there will for sure be many deaths of military and citizens.
I believe that if a country needs to do whatever they can to help win a war then so be it. I have pushed my men so far at times to win battles so many countries will have to do whats best to win so yes, countries should be able to develop this technology.
Like I said earlier whether these bombs are illegal or legal countries will still use these to win a war.

These weapons can make the difference between winning or
losing; life or death. This weapon could end the war in one second. In the
right hands it could be used as a tool for justice, but in the wrong hands it
could be used as a tool for complete and utter chaos. This weapon should be
made and used. Yet it should not be used right now. It should be a last resort
weapon; not to be used until your nation is almost conquered. This super weapon
could potentially end wars or start new ones fueled by technology. Either way,
whoever uses it will feel great regret. Power comes with responsibility but
also with greed. Greed leads to destruction. Destruction leads to chaos. Chaos
leads to death. Don’t be the one to ruin the world. Be careful nuclear weapons
makers. Your life could change with the press of a button.

Response to Editorial #13
Be careful Americans. The Japanese are nasty and vicious.
They remind me of myself. Anyway they have many secrets hidden in their
jungles. Be warned. They have many hiding places that are well camouflaged. If
you win take this land you will be that much closer to the end of the war. Yes
you will lose many, many lives and you might not think it's worth it. You never
know it could be the end of the war or the start of a new one. The Japanese
have a never surrender code that will make this battle hard. You have a long
and costly battle ahead of you so make it count or else they might line up a
full out attack. And for the Japanese, do all you can this could be the last
battle. Beat the Americans. Not only for you but the whole axis.
Sincerely the
smartest and most faithful scientist,
Josef Mengele
Response to editorial #14
I have to say, this does not sound smart, the nuclear bombing, but on a needed bases than I can make an exception. The only reason that this would be okay is if we need it as a threat. I know that the Japanese will not give up, and I guess that the only way to brake their "death before dishonor" thing is to scare them or we will lose many more than we would like.
Editorial 14 - Summer 1945 - Nuclear Technology? No Thanks!
My Dear World,
We have
encountered a fork in the road and we are not in Kansas anymore. Nuclear
physicists have been consulting with various heads of state around the globe
regarding the development of new forms of weaponry that use nuclear energy to
create explosions. These explosions are far beyond the comprehension or
understanding of anything we have witnessed before. Based upon what we have
been able to gather about testing of these weapons, they can threaten the life
of entire metropolitan areas or naval bases. Essentially, had the Japanese used
this form of technology on Pearl Harbor, it would have taken one plane - one
bomb to obliterate the naval base as well as much of Honolulu.
The concern that every global citizen must wrap their head around is this - If this technology becomes the new "norm" for what we use on our enemies during conflict, we are breaching a threshold that is terrifying. Not only will we face the reality of more military casualties that far surpass what we have seen in this horrific war, but we will see the number of civilian deaths surpass anything imaginable.
The questions that we pose to our readers are this:
Should countries continue developing this technology to a usable form?
Once usable and functional - should countries be able to use these weapons in war?
We beg you to consider the consequences of a single weapon being used in action.

The Americans are on the finnal moving point of the war. They have pushed the Germans all the way back to Berlin they are sorounded and have no were to run. Is this Germans last stand? The Allies are infuriated with the man named Adolf Hittler! He has done nothing other than hurt his own countries reputation and killed billions! Many of the nations are targeting Hittler as the starter of World War Two and if he isn't already dead he will be put on trial and be sentenced to death for all he has done.

Island hoping is going great although I was uncertain of it at first. It turned out to be a wonderful strategy! Sure we've lost many of our boys but think of the numbers we would have lost if we don't attack...millions. The Japanese are fierce opponents in the war and we can not turn our backs to them, this must be done. This will take a large hand in allies victory. We have fought in jungles before with bonzi so we are experienced and know what if a waiting us. But the question is how big is the army and do they no we are coming.
